A Barakat Georgie Jr

Welcome to A Barakat
A Barakat means A Blessed Cat

We are located in Southwestern Pennsylvania, 30 miles south of Pittsburgh, and only ¼ mile off of Interstate 70.

As a small child I lived in the country and rescued many many animals. Mom was never too keen about it as I remember her usual response was to ‘Git that animal out of My House!’ and ‘Wash your hands!’ It is rather ironic as now mom lives with me in ‘My House’ (she is handicapped) with all of my animals. One time I rescued a beautiful Flame Point Himalayan. He was so calm and beautiful. Years passed and after I graduated with highest honors in the biological sciences at college I did a lot of research into the Persian and Himalayan breed, and here I am today. I still love research and learning and that led me to super kitties. My goal is to produce healthy and happy Kittens of high quality, with a nice temperament and sweet expressions. I strive to keep all our CFA-registered Persians and Himalayans true to their breed.

My favorite is still the Himalayan. I love the dilute colors including Lilac. The main man in this house is however a solid Lilac Persian. He is QD Pies George Thorogood’s son. Even though he is a solid Persian I have yet to find a better personality than his. He sits up then leans into you so you can watch TV together. I am very excited to be adding Lynx Points to my Himalayan lines as my all time favorite favorite color is the Lilac Lynx Point Himalayan. I just love those pink ears.

We invite you to take a few minutes to browse through our Cattery pages and enjoy all our exquisite beauties. Our lines include Arenel, DeMiara, ElZadora, Felindia, Hirsheez, Kiikatz, Lake Hyco, Ma-Lia Katz, Mogwai, Q-D Pies, Rajobet, Twinshire, Tyland, Whisperwood and Wildaffair, to name but a few.
